Haworthia reinwardtii is an ornamental, perennial succulent with stems growing to eight inches in height, with a basal rosette of white-spotted fleshy leaves arranged in a spiral pattern, and in spring, small, pinkish-white and bell-shaped flowers on long stems. The plant spreads to form a mat, by means of freely-produced offsets, additionally a convenient means of propagation.

Scientific Name: Haworthia reinwardtii or Haworthiopsis reinwardtii.
Synonyms: Aloe reinwardtii, Haworthia reinwardtii, Catevala reinwardtii.

How to grow and maintain Haworthia reinwardtii:

Light:ย 
It requires full sun to partial shade but too much direct sunlight will cause leaves to turn white or yellow.

Soil:
It grows well in well-draining cactus and succulent potting mix
or use a mixure of two parts peat-moss based potting mix and
one part sharp sand.

Water:
Water your plant regularly during the growing season and always keep the soil evenly moist but not soggy. During the winter months, reduce watering. You can allow the topsoil to become slightly dry between each watering.

Temperature:
It prefers a normal room temperatures between 65 degrees
Fahrenheit /18 degrees Celsius – 75 degrees Fahrenheit / 24
degrees Celsius and temperature not below 50 degrees Fahrenheit /10 degrees Celsius.

Fertilizer:
Fertilize once every month from April to September with a
diluted liquid fertilizer. Don’t fertilize during winter.

Re-potting:
Re-pot your plant every two years or more when it outgrows its
pot, during spring.

Propagation:
Haworthia reinwardtii can be easily propagated by pups or
cuttings.

Pests and Diseases:
There is no serious pest or disease problems. Watch for
mealybugs and spider mites.
