Angel Trumpet Plant is an evergreen, ornamental shrub. This soft-wooded shrub grows to 2–3m high, with long trumpet-shaped flowers. The flowers are pendulous, trumpet-shaped, pale orange to peach colored, white or pale violet, 15–20cm long opening out to about 10cm across. The flowers have a strong sweet fragrance, particularly at night. The leaves are dull green and softly hairy, 10–30cm long, with wavy margins. All parts of these plant are toxic. Eye contact with the sap may cause dilated pupils and temporary blindness. Keep it away from pets and children.

How to grow and maintain the Angel Trumpet Plant:

Light:
It thrives best in bright light to full sun. Give it at least four hours of direct sunlight each day.

Soil:
It prefers to grow in a rich, organic, well-drained, any good potting mix.

Humidity:
It prefers moderate to high (50% relative humidity or higher). Use a humidity tray or room humidifier to raise the moisture in the air around it.

Temperature:
It grows best in average to warm temperatures 65°F – 80°F / 18°C – 27°C. This subtropical plant doesn’t like the cold at all. It will tolerate a minimum of 50°F/10°C in winter.

Water:
Water thoroughly and moderately spring through fall. Keep the soil evenly moist but not soggy. During winter, water sparingly.

Fertilizer:
Fertilize once every 2 weeks spring through fall with a high-phosphorus liquid fertilizer diluted by half.

Propagation:
It can be propagated by stem tip cuttings. Take 3-4 inches (8-10 cm) stem tip cuttings in early spring and root them in moist soil. Propagating the cuttings requires a heat mat for best results.

Pests and Diseases:
It has no serious pest and disease problems.
